Educational Background: Mr. Brandstetter has earned two master�s degrees from the University of San Francisco (Education) and St. Thomas Aquinas University (Theology), an advanced diploma from the Gregorian University (Latin), and is an all-but-dissertation (ABD) candidate at Argosy University (Educational Leadership, K-12). He possesses an Adult Teaching credential in Social Science, an Administrative Services credential, and Leading Management Teams certification from Cornell University.
Work experience: Matthew Brandstetter joined Fairmont Prep in 2011. As a multi-dimensional educator, he began his professional career in 1985 and has worked as an educational administrator since 1992, with experience including: admissions, educational delivery systems (including online and on-campus learning), curriculum development, faculty evaluation systems, extra-curricular program development, facilitation of career technical education programs as a campus executive director and dean of instruction. Faculty training and professional development experiences have been key components of his administrative career. Additionally, he possess 12+ years of classroom experience in non-profit, independent middle and upper school environments, including: Hillbrook, Old Orchard, and The Harker Schools, as well as an online adjunct professor for Concordia University and a supervisor for student teachers at the University of San Francisco.
Hobbies, special interests: When not at the Prep, Mr. Brandstetter engages in pastoral work with married couples and hospital/hospice patients.
