Annamarie Mueco

Educational Background: Annamarie completed her Bachelor of Arts degree in Comparative Literature with an emphasis in Critical Theory and French/Italian Literature at UC Irvine.� She completed the first year of graduate studies in Linguistics and Comparative Literature at UCLA, then lived in Sicily and Luzern before returning to UC Irvine to complete the Master of Arts in English with a concentration in Medieval and Jacobean Studies.� In addition, she completed 30 units in Educational Administration at National University, and holds a California Single Subject English credential.
Work experience: Beginning in the 2011-2012 academic year, Annamarie started serving students at Fairmont Preparatory Academy as a College Counselor.� She has served in a number of capacities in the field of education since 1997�English and Mathematics instructor, Director of Development, Senior Moderator, Dean of Students, Dean of Faculty, Assistant Principal for Staff and Student Services, and Vice Principal.� She is grateful for this wide variety of experiences, as it has enabled her to understand better how to serve the needs of individuals and various departments while simultaneously working towards the educational institution�s overarching goal of guiding students towards their highest expression of themselves.
Hobbies, special interests: When not on campus, Annamarie studies yoga philosophy of the Yukteswar/Ghosh lineage, and is a certified Bikram yoga instructor.� Her volunteer work includes private yoga instruction for children and patients in hospice, as well as hands-on work at various animal sanctuaries.
