Anaheim Hills Teacher Receives Prestigious NSTA Fellow AwardFebruary 2010 |

Congratulations to Fairmont Anaheim Hill’s science teacher Stephanie
Conklin for being selected as an Amgen-NSTA Fellow in the National
Science Teachers Association's New Science Teacher Academy. She was
recently featured in the Orange County Register for her accomplishments
and will be honored at the NSTA’s 2010 national conference in
Philadelphia.The NSTA Fellow Award is a prestigious award that recognizes an NSTA member for long standing service to science education at the local, state, and national level. Conklin was recognized as an ambassador for the advancement of science and science education for students, teachers, and the community at large. The NSTA New Science Teacher Academy, cofounded by the Amgen Foundation, is a professional development initiative created to help promote quality science teaching, enhance teacher confidence and classroom excellence, and improve teacher content knowledge.
