ANAHEIM, CA - Students and faculty at Fairmont Private Schools' Preparatory Academy gathered in various locations throughout Orange County last week to help their neighbors as part of the junior high's Community Service Summer Camp. The week's service included: ∞ Mon., July 28: Packing meals at Pack-a-Box Community Action Partnership in Garden Grove ∞ Tues., July 29: Assisting at the Orange County Animal Shelter ∞ Wed.: July 30: Serving food at Second Harvest Food Bank in Irvine ∞ Thurs., July 31: Removing tagging at a Graffiti Paint-Out ∞ Fri., Aug. 1: Cleaning up Sunset Beach Fairmont students and staff painted over graffiti in Anaheim last Thursday as part of the Orange County private school's Community Service Summer Camp. The five-day camp included a beach clean-up and assisting a local animal shelter. On the last day of camp, the junior high students presented service projects they completed independently during the week. Paige Green, a receptionist at Fairmont's Prep Academy, displays Husky pride at the Anaheim private school's graffiti paint-out, held on Thursday as part of the junior high's Community Service Summer Camp. The weeklong camp, open to all interested junior high students, included a day at a local animal shelter and a beach clean-up. |
