Five Fairmont Students Honored at State Science FairMay 2010 |

Five eighth grade students from Fairmont Private Schools' participating campuses brought home awards in the 59th annual California State Science Fair held on May 17-18, 2010. Three students placed in the top three, including Supriya A. Bhupathy, who won first place in the Behavioral and Social Sciences category for her project: "Cheating, The Academic Epidemic: Is Teaching Honesty the Cure?". Two Fairmont students earned Honorable Mention awards. The California State Science Fair is the final science fair of the academic year for students throughout the State of California in grades 6 – 12. It is hosted by the California Science Center (formerly, the California Museum of Science and Industry). This year there were 960 participants from 394 schools throughout the State meeting in competition for awards totaling over $50,000. Fairmont Private Schools’ State Science Fair winners (junior division) include: Anaheim Hills Campus Supriya A.
